The strategic sectors that are crucial to economic development under the BCG model include agriculture and food, health and medicine, energy, materials and biochemicals, as well as tourism and the creative economy. These sectors are closely linked to research and development in biotechnology, indicating that the future demand for personnel capable of generating new knowledge is likely to increase. Therefore, developing highly capable human resources in biotechnology is a vital step in responding to and preparing for the country’s economic development in alignment with this approach.
